# How Not To Spend Your Time

No, nobody’s dying.

Just some reflection from a 27 year old dude on how he has chosen to spent his time in the past few years.

Some background

  • I graduated university in 2021 and have worked full-time as a software engineer (at some bank) for 2 years.
  • I tutor Python on the side
  • I also write stuff on Medium on the side

I’m not super proud of the way I spent my time in the past 2 years. After much reflection, it all boils down to this:

Not spending my time intentionally

Let me explain in stages.

How I Define “Spending My Time Intentionally” Now

Every single thing I do must either

  • make my day better
  • bring me closer to my goals without making my day too shitty

I didn’t do this a lot in the past 2 years

1) Spending too much time tutoring
